A FEW QUICK TIPS:

WHO can register today?  Anyone 4 and up, born by June 1 2021.  In addition we have "try hockey" nights for those who are unsure or who are not quite 4.  There are learn to skate classes available through the City of Moorhead.

COMPLETING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS IS MUCH EASIER FROM YOUR COMPUTER OR TABLET (NOT A PHONE) AND CAN TAKE ABOUT 10 MINUTES. please read through the following information carefully to get started!

Please try to register under the email/account you usually use from season to season, and include info on parent/guardian 2 if you want them to receive communication as well.  You can also go to your sport engine account settings and make sure both parent/guardian accounts are connected. 

Junior Gold  may register later without a late fee.  If you know you would like to play JG feel free to register now, otherwise you can wait until after High School Tryouts.

STEPS:

1.  Register with USA Hockey then return to this page with your player confirmation number.

2.  Complete the MYHA Registration online.

3.  For Raffle tickets that are pre-paid, they will be ready for pickup during summer office hours after July 14th.  You are required to drop off  your $500 Volunteer Check when you pick up raffles in the office.

4. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS, In-person registration night will be September 16th, along with parent meetings.

You will receive a USA Hockey Number that you will need to use for our MYHA Registration (please save this).

IF YOU ARE NEW TO HOCKEY

 Our youngest and newest MYHA players are called the Tator Tots, and generally if you are new to hockey this is the level you will begin at.  Sometimes you will start in Mites, but this is all determined by your birthdate.  Our in house and hockey directors reserve the right to move players to the level that they will best develop within the Tator Tot and Mite/8U program.

The Tobolt Equipment Lease program offers equipment to Mite/8U/Tator Tot players.  The completed registration form and $200 deposit fee is required before equipment is handed out.  This check will only be cashed if you do not turn your equipment back in!  The following equipment is included according to level. 

EQUIPMENT PROVIDED (subject to availability):

Helmet, gloves, elbow pads, shoulder pads, shin pads, breezers, skates, bag. 

**You will need your own stick, clothing for under the equipment, socks or sweat pants, and a practice jersey until MYHA hands jerseys out**

PAY ONLINE IN FULL:  Submit total fees online upon conclusion of registration session via Visa, MasterCard, Discover or checking account. Please note that you will be assessed the full amount of on-line transaction fees.

PAYMENT PLAN: Payments can be divided into installments.  The first installment to be collected online today upon conclusion of this registration session via Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account. Remaining balance will be split equally and automatically debited from the SAME ACCOUNT each month (January 15th is the last possible payment).  

If you wish to use a different account to pay the balance, or if your account information changes after your initial registration, please log in to your SportsEngine account  to update your account information.

We prefer all payments be online, but if you wish to pay offline via cash or check, please use the code PAYOFFLINE.  If you need to schedule a payment plan offline call the office at 218-233-5021 or email myha@moorheadyouthhockey.com.

PLAYER MOVEMENT

No movement of players between age levels will be allowed, without the consent of the player, players' parents, the Level Coordinator, and Hockey Director.  All players will start the season at their required age level.

If a player’s birth date falls between June 1st  and August 31st  and the player is enrolled in the grade corresponding to the player’s school age, the player’s parents may request the player to play at the higher playing level.  A written request to have a player move to a higher level must be submitted to the Hockey Director, Rob Gramer at rob@moorheadyouthhockey.com no later than September 1st of the playing year.  Failure to meet this deadline could result in denial of request. The Hockey Director will make this decision after reviewing the situation.  Players will be notified once approved. 

All girls will be required to register at the age appropriate girls level. Girls with interest in playing in a boys level will be required to notify the Hockey Committee by submitting the players information to rob@moorheadyouthhockey.com by September 1st of the playing year. 

TOURNAMENT WORKER DEPOSIT

MYHA does require that ALL families (with the exception of team sponsors & Travel Coaches for that team) fulfill volunteer hours at a tournament for each player registered.  Please refer to the Tournament Worker Policy that is posted online for details. 

We will be collecting a $500 deposit check for tournament/volunteer work.  If you do not turn in a check, your child will not not receive their team jersey.    If you plan to sponsor a team, please fill out the online form right away, using this link   2025-26 Moorhead Youth Hockey Team Sponsorship
